Pink FOTD

I've never liked how pink looked on me. But after getting this all pink pallet from Dior the other day I decided that I wanted to try it out. I don't quite know how it looks. Since all this talk of non-honest opinions is going around in the forum I just want to let you guys know that I do want honest opinions about how this pallet might work for me. Please! I don't want non-constructive criticism though. If you hate it and have nothing to say about how I can improve it, please don't comment until you think of something. If you don't think pink is a good color for me... please tell me and I'll figure out what to do with my mini pallet. I don't quite know what I think of it even cuz it is pink and I am soooooo not used to pink! I might be ODing on the pink in this FOTD but I am just testing out the pallet. Let me know guys!!! Please don't let me walk out of the house like a pile of cotton candy if it looks horrible. LOL. Thanks in advance my darlings!!!

This is the pallet, I got it in a free package after buying DiorShow in Black (which I'm using up there but forgot to write in) and Dior Kiss in Praline (I think that's the name). It's really cute. If you have any other ideas about what I can do with it... please help me!!! MUAHZ

I think the pink looks good on you. If you really wanted to wear really bold pinks I think you'd have to play around with it a bit to see how to make it work, but I think the pink you used in this look looks good. Goldy pink would look really pretty with your skin tone, I think.

I really like it, but I agree that a goldish pink would look really nice too, or maybe blending a bit of gold into at the crease. I'm not really sure if I like the lip that bright with an eye that bright too, seperately they're both really nice but I think if you're going to have stand out eyes maybe you could use a more subtle pink lip.

I hope this helps, I do like it

I think you look great!
I agree with Tracie. I do think the lip is a bit bright for the eye. Apart they look great but I personally would do a softer lip color. I also agree on blending a bit of th gold into the crease. This will help tone done the pink so you won't feel like a ball of cotton candy. Keep in mind I am just making that suggestion because you seem uncomfortable witht he pink. In my honest opinion you do look great and doubt anything could make you look bad.

On another thought YUM cotton candy!!!

Oh yes suggestion for the palette. The maroon color on the outter lid and the light pink color on the inner lid, blend well. I'd use the light brownish colored gloss for the lips with just a dab of the pink gloss in the middle of the lips.

i think the eyes are nice...maybe you should use a lighter tint of pink for the lips next time...other than that...the eyes are nicely done

Okay girlie... first of all, I love the eye and I love the lip but maybe not together ya know. I think that a sheer pink LG (think Palatial or Pinking Sheer) would enhance the eye look and not compete with it. Gold in the crease would be nice but I think that I would probably do a deeper pink in the crease and use a small pat of gold in the center of lid will give the pink some dimension and break up the all pink look. (hugs mama!)

thanks for the help... i will def try both the gold in the crease and the darker crease color with gold on the lid!!! i figured the pink lips were too much, but i wanted to see how it looked on me (hehe) just figured i would take the pic like that... i would def be more comfy with a more nudish pink... thanks again guys!!! much luvz!!!

I love the eyes and I love the lips, but like everyone else suggested not together. Maybe with the pink e/s you could use nymphette l/g, that's more of a light pink with gold shimmer, which everyone is suggesting for your skintone, so it should look nice. But I really love the pink lip color, I can never seem to pull that off myself!
