Well, I just ordered Rose pigment- been wanting it forever. I was planning on getting all three Sweetiecake pigments on Thursday, but if I have Rose, should I get Pinked Mauve? How similar are they? Any help is greatly appreciated!

i have rose and ordered pinked mauve, so i havent swatched them side by side yet, but i think rose looks brighter and has some gold in it. I think its worth having both, i will. plus pinked mauve is l/e.

I have Rose and not Pinked Mauve, but from what I can see they are quite different. Pinked Mauve seems to have alot more purple in it. I would go for it personally, but I think I can mix a similar enough colour with what I already have that I can't justify a whole jar. The stuff lasts forever!

I posted a pic of all 3 sweetie cake pigments in the Sweetie Cake swatch thread. It's actually not my pic, but I posted it in tehre because so many people were asking about it. There are also a few other swatches in there from other Specktra girls..........

I have both and they are very different. sorry no camera to do a swatch.
Rose is bright. Pinked Mauve is more plum and softer. I have used Pinked
Mauve twice now and it's fabulous!!

When I swatched Pinked Mauve it seemed a lot more like Ruby Red than anything else except a little lighter.

The review on makeupalley claims that this color is very similiar to Pearls of the Earth. That color was in the Trend olive holiday palette and I adore that color. I need to check it out myself.

very different. I'd put pinked mauve closer to the purple family.
If it was close to any pigment I'd compare it to Ruby Red. However, I have Ruby Red and still thought Pinked Mauve was worth getting

Just did...I'm buying full-size Apricot Pink and Lily White, and a 1/2 tsp sample of Pinked Mauve...I have so many dark pink and reddish eyeshadows that I really don't need a pigment in that shade...plus I have ruby red, and they're awfully close...I'd rather save my money for the new ones in June- those are right up my alley!!!!

VERY different. I have both. Pinked Mauve has the same texture as like..violet or coco whereas rose has the same texture as copper sparkle, that chunky type
