Pinup Style 4th of July Look

Hey ladies :],
For 4th of July tomorrow I'm going to see fireworks where there will be a lot of people. A lot of them get dressed up in themed outfits. So I decided to do a pinup inspired look. A lot of it is obvious. Red lips, winged eyeliner, really light skin with red blush on the apples of my cheeks, and dramatic dark brows. But what else could I do with my makeup? Should I wear eyeshadow at all, and if so what color?
I'm wearing a red polka-dotted dress with red, white, and blue heels.
Any recommendations are appreciated, and for hair as well! TIA!
I hope everyone has a great fourth of July!

Well since pinup makeup is generally very neutral, the colors of the eyeshadow would depend entirely on your skintone. I suggest sticking with mostly matte colors if you're doing a pinup look (maybe a pop of light shimmer). Clearly defined brows are also a major part of the look.
Maybe you could also have a bit of fun with your nails. I usually do alternating red, white, and blue.

Yea I thought so about the neutral eyeshadow, thanks. I am planning on doing darker, more defined brows than I usually do.
My mom and I plan on doing our nails like that!
What are your 4th of July plans?

Well I'm not sure that your eyebrows have to be much darker so much as really well defined. What I normally do is sharpen a pencil before I start and line the outer most boundaries of my brow (upper and lower). Then I fill it in with a powder. That way if it gets too dark, I can take a q-tip and smudge the color to make it softer. Then if I really need to, I go over with brow gel. As far as 4th plans... I am going to a potluck/picnic with a long time friend's family. Since the commute is going to be quite long, I think that makeup will be out of the question. I'll probably just do my nails.
