Planning my first MAC Pro trip

So my boy finally made it home from Iraq (2 tours, not a scratch on him thank God) and will be heading home on leave in a little less than 2 weeks so we can go to his best friend's wedding. He's not sure yet at this point if it's going to be a weekend leave or if he'll get to take some of the battalion block leave and stick around for a week or two.

But, if he gets to stay a bit before heading back to base in Cali, he promised to take me to the MAC Pro store to make up for having missed Christmas. This is a huge deal, because he isn't the type of guy who will offer to take me shopping ... he doesn't even like wandering the mall because he thinks it's a waste of time. But when I jokingly said he should take me to the pro store in the city to show me how much he missed me during this deployment, much to my surprise he agreed. Poor boy has no clue what he's in for.

I'm not sure what I'm more excited about ... seeing him for the first time in 6 months, or going to the MAC Pro store for the first time.

How fun! I hope you get him back and that you get to go to the pro store.

There are so many good things there! Any idea what you want to get?

I'll most likely pick up some Pro pigments and a few pro pans of the shadows ... I've already started making a list! But I definitely want to try out a Chromaline or two ... those just look amazing to layer under my shadows.

I'm not much into lippies, but if I come across something that really catches my eye, I'll certainly pick it up. I just have to watch the tab, because I don't want him spending all the money he made on deployment just to feed my addiction.

I love the pro store, practically live in it! They are closed Sundays, fyi.
That's very sweet of him to take you there, but he won't know what hit him! On the plus side there are couches for him to lounge on while you "browse".

Oh, good to know about Sundays. I might just end up taking a day off of work to spend with him. I don't think my boss will mind too much

Forget about it, if there's a couch, he'll fall asleep. Which means I get to shop as long as I want. I'll just wake him up when it comes time to sign the credit card slip!

I don't mean to get sappy here, but I spoke to him tonight for the first time in 6 months without having to repeat every other word, worrying the connection would die before I got to tell him I loved him, or wondering if it would be the last time I ever talked to him. Amazing how you don't realize how much you miss someone's voice until you finally hear it again ...

I'm really happy for you! You must be thrilled.

Also the pro store is open till 8 on Thursdays.
