Well my favorite marine is finally coming home by October. He will be in Okinawa. This guy has been like a little brother to me.

SO, he likes hunting, and fishing, and stuff like that. He loves the woods.

So, I also know he likes the packets of blue lemonaide kool aide so I'm getting him that and some magazines, but...

Can anyone else tell me what I should send him? What is allowed to be sent over to Japan? Could I send him some fish hooks as long as they are in the package?

Any ideas would be great!

Thanks ladies!

I think they really appreciate razors, soap, stuff like that, anything having to do with grooming i have heard is acceptable, sorry i can't be more of a help. You can definatelly send some treats that he might like

Thanks hon, but....

The thing is they will already have all that on the base. I mean since they will be in Okinawa they have pretty much all the comforts of home. They dont really need shower gel and shampoo because they can just go out and buy it.

the perfect gift package should consist of a jenna jameson fleshlight, porn dvd's,and lots of lube.

maybe some toiletries and food as well.

one of my first thoughts was to send this. Unfortunately MSgt is a real hard ass when it comes to that stuff.

I've already been warned by MSgt that if he catches any of that it will be burned or thrown in the ocean. Who knows why.

I'd be a bit iffy about sending fish hooks, but I have a Japanese friend whose father works for the postal service (in Japan) - I can ask him what sort of things are allowed to be sent to Japan, if you like.

What about a Bass Pro Shop gift certificate? The website has international ordering information (although the shipping is expensive). He could then pick out what ever kind of items he'd like to have.

If you don't want to spend that much on a gift certificate, perhaps send things like hand warmers, gloves, fishing line, floating key chains, bobs, etc.

Go to the Bass Pro website and look around. You'll find tons of ideas there that wouldn't involve fish hooks.

You're very welcome. I'm glad I could help. You're so nice to send goodies like this to your marine. I'm sure he will be so happy to get your gift.

I thought my boyfriend was going to trip when i mentioned it but he didn't...which is good or else I woulda gave him a black eye b/c my teacher's son is married *lol* Plus my husband is getting offered a contracting job for NT or whatever..i'm not aggreeing with his decision to go if he does X-( My best friend's boyfriend is going to Iraq in a couple months and his twin brother has already gone 'n been back..and might go again.
