Hi all! I'm new to Specktra. I have recently become ADDICTED to tutorials on YouTube. I've always worn make-up, but it's the eyeliner and mascara type. I've never really gotten into face make-ups, powders, blush. So, I went to the mall yesterday and I told myself I was going to buy some MAC products. I got there and I was overwhelmed by the variety of products and ended up coming home with nothing. I recently tried Maybelline Dream Matte powder and it made me have migraines. I think it may have been from the talc, but I'm not sure. Can anyone recommend a few things I should buy from MAC? I'm very worried about the talc aspect and I don't want to buy something like Studio Fix powder, which has a lot of talc. But I think I want to buy it because on the website it says something about "jet-milled talc". Someone please help me! I'm so confused! I just need to know what to buy! I want to buy a liquid foundation, a powder, a blush and a few eyeshadows. Any recommedations would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

for blush, i'd say dollymix. it looks overbearing in the pot, but can easily be toned down to make a nice flush. or pink swoon. it all depends on what color you are. i, personally, am a nw40-45. for eyeshadows, i'd say get a browbone color (shroom, ricepaper, brule, etc) again, it depends on what you'd like. they can be frosty, they can be matte. it just depends on what you'd prefer. i personally only wear Tinted Moisturizer from MAC, but then again, lol ... it all depends on what kind of coverage you'd like. i recommend taking some time out to go to MAC and talk to an MA for a while. they can work with you and you can see in person what you'd like, and you can both decide what looks best on you. hope that helped somehow

Thank you so much, MACpro__*! Sorry. Very new here and I don't know how to "Thank You" or whatever.

Call the MAC store ahead of time to set up an app with a MA. You can get your makeup done free with minimum purchase (varies country to country but for me it was $40). Tell them all your worries and that you're interested in the basics. They can show you what to use, and how. I love having my makeup done and learning techniques etc. The MAs are very knowledgeable about the product. Give it a try.
