so i just finished all my interview and i must say it went great. i applied at nordstrom and went in for my interview with mac counter manager and nordstrom cosmetics manager, which went very well. Couple hours after the interview i received a phone call from mac counter manager scheduling my demo and final interview. I finished my demo which the trainer said it was by far one of the best then headed over for my final interview just three days ago. Now i am just waiting for a phone call to see whether i got the position. They said they would call me very soon to let me know. Does a call back normally take long?? its been 3 days and im getting nervous. I really want this opportunity!!!! what do you think??!

I think wait 2-3 more days, after a week passed, call back.. be patience,
they need time for decision making too

OMG Im in the same situation.....My demo ( which) I posted about was on SAT morn.....it is now Wednesday and am trying not to loose faith. My nerves have been in tied since then and my head is gong back to the interview and what I could have done better or just dumb little things that are making me more nervous! i guess like Oprah says and surrender it to the universe and it will happen.....so....even though its sooooo hard im just gonna realease it to the univers...........there you go universe......my freinds and fam have been telling me even if I dont get it I am still a talented MUA and lots of other oppourtinites will come later and they are right I just wanted to work for the best before I went for the rest...haha that rhymed...ok yall thanks for hearing me out

Hey there ... I don't know anything about their specific policies but HR often has quite a bit of paperwork to complete before they can make a final offer. Your selection process sounds so positive so far - let us know how it goes!

hi everyone - So i just got a call from the manager that interviwed me and I did my demo for.......she said she wanted to call me and keep me in the loop .....she said that "they are still interviweing people" and thinks "they gonna hold off on that one last position till the counter opens....its a brand new counter.....but she said that she still doesnt know what might happen so she asked her manager if she could call me and tell me what is goin on and she said yeah....so for now i suppose im not IN yet......but at leat I feel better that she took the time to call and let me know....i told her that i really appreciated her calling me because my nerves and the suspense was killing me...she laughed and said she knew what I was going through....so what do you all think?

it soo funny because I had just realized that even if I dont get in im still talented and it doesnt mean this is the last oppourtinity on earth so....well see.....

David^ To be honest with you... I think you are so IN! The fact that she called you to keep you updated shows how much she's keeping you in mind.. (I mean c'mon she had to ask for permission from her manager to call you) So seems to me, like she's just following protocal and interview the people she has left to make the final desicion. However, it doesn't take having to interview all to already know who you want to hire.. I'm sure you'll get it!

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH---I almost cried when I read your reply----Im soo glad i found people that love make-up and MAC as much as I do...my boyfriend makes fun of me because of how long and how many times I check Specktra...but I know he doesnt get it....and you all do --- So thank you for being here for me!I will defenitley keep you posted on anything that comes up!!

Did you get hired as freelance or permanent? Congrats either way! yay!

I wasn't told I was getting a background check, but Im a freelancer. From what I know in background checks, they check to see if you have any criminal record, or sometimes even your credit (they did this to my hubby when he got promoted to management in our old job)

Congrats chica!!

I've had a background check, which is to make sure you dont have a criminal record of any kind. Oh and glamdoll is right, sometimes they might even check your credit too.. it depends tho
