Plushglass & Technacolor

Just got back from the mall. I checked out the new e/s & l/g. I didn't care for the e/s at all. I swiped a few of them on my hand & the color looked chalky, the sparkles showed up more than anything else. I just didn't like the texture of these & I didn't feel any of the colors were must haves. I meant to look at the new eyeliners, but I forgot & will have to see them next time. The Plushglass I wasn't over impressed with either. About half of the colors were so sheer that they looked clear, but I have very pigmented lips so they might show up better on someone with less natural lip color. I did end up getting the color Big Kiss which is a frosty coral pink. As far as the lip plumping goes, they do tingle but much less than other lip plumpers like Duwop & Lip Fusion. But, I don't really notice a difference in the size of my lips. The new collections are nice, but nothing amazing IMO.

Well, that's my report on the new collections, what does everyone else think?

Yuck.. I hate chalky eyeshadows like some Velvets. Thanks so much, I was supposed to buy Peppier, but now I really don't want it. :p

You're so welcome! Amuse has definitely been my favorite collection this year. I think whatever else comes out in the next few months will have a hard time surpassing it.

I think Peppier and Pompous Blue were the two shadows that stood out. Peppier is nice dry but better applied wet,.. then it looks like the promo ad. I did get that one. I wasnt impressed with the liners,. I only got Jade Way,.. mostly because it is a deeper emerald green than minted. Now I did like the plushglass,.. the effects aren't right away,.. it takes a bit to see it. But they arent supposed to make your lips get huge,.. I prefer these to the cinnamon based stuff. I do think it is funny that on the Plushglass boxes it says "Discontinue use if irritation occurs". Isnt that supposed to happen? I did like these,.. pretty shine to them. I did however leave MAC with some money in my purse today.

I didn't even look at the plushglasses cuz when I heard they were lip plumpers I was immediately turned off. I did look at the shadows and I loved them. I want them all but if I can't get them all I really want:

Jeweltone
Full Flame
Blue Edge
Pompous Blue
Peppier

Are the colors similar to any existing shades? From the swatches I have seen, the following colors look similar:
Full Flame = Sushi Flower
Peppier = Paradisco
Pompous Blue = Waternymph
Lightshade = Shroom

Are any of those accurate?

Pompous Blue looks nothing like Waternymph nor Turquatic. It might be similiar to a Bluer Blue or Ingenue Blue w/sparkle. I'll let you know tomorrow. In my opinion this color is a MUST HAVE.

Full Flame and Peppier don't look like anything that exsists already. Well, I take that back, Full Flame looks like Flammable if it were blended down and used as a shadow. I agree that Pompous Blue looks like a bluer version of Ingenue Blue with sparkles. Lightshade is unlike any MAC shade I can think of. It actually reminds me of NARS Night Star.

Please does anyone know what shade plushglass the model is wearing in the promo pic? I am going in a couple of hours and I need that colour!!!!

I agree that the new e/s are very chalky. I wanted Peppier and Pompous Blue but I think I can get a dupe that will satisfy me elsewhere. I bought two of the plushglasses and skipped the eyeliners altogether.

Heres what they reminded me of but unfortunately the other things they were close to are also discontinued.

Full Flame = Dulled down slightly lighter version of Pinked Mauve piggie
Peppier = A lighter sister to D'Bohemia or Lovebud without being a lustre but these were also LE.
Pompous Blue = darker version of Bluer Blue (The teal in the holiday collection)

i think the pompous blue looks exactly like ingenue blue but with sparkles. Zeal is simular to stars & rockets but no sparkles or irridescence that stars & rockets have and Jeweltone looks like parfait amour except jeweltone has the sparkles IMO

Honey, I am sure you could make a paper sack colored eye shadow look good. (wait that would be Soba) LOL. I love that recent FOTD with black and ruby,.. can't wait to see what you will do with these.

Just came back from my Mac counter - LOVED the pencils, way more pigmented than the non-twist up pencils, either the kohls or the eyeliners (and I have lots of those, too, to give to my step daughter now), great staying power under the assualt of 100+ degree heat and allergies. WAY cool, and thankfully, not LE.
The Mac MA said they were really good on the waterline, too, but since I am wearing brassy on my waterline today, I haven't tried that yet. I bought all the colors except the silverish one and the weird grey-brown.
The plushglasses were almost completely unpigmented, really not worth the price of admission, I was quite dissapointed.
I never buy Mac single eyeshadows anymore, only palettes and quads, so I have no opinion on those. Looked pretty, but also just looked like a million other existing colors/pigments.
But those twist up pencils...yaaay! LOVE them, can't wait to play with all of them!

I didn't really look at the plushglasses when I went to the counter today. I'm not really into the whole lip plumping thing. But I did like the eyeshadows. I'm not too picky with the finishes unless it's lustre.

I really loved most of the eyeshadows-I actually like the Velvet texture rather a lot. I ended up getting Peppier and Pompous Blue (which IMO doesn't look like Waternymph, or anything else that I have in my collection at least).

I loooooved the new technakohls!! Ahhh, I'm so glad they're permanent. I only got Jade Way today, but I will definately get more of these later on. Super pigmented and smooth, and can see myself using these all over my eyes, lol.

The plushglasses were interesting...was anyone else captivated by the packaging? The tops (by this I mean the black part of the plushglass) were all velvety feeling. So was the display, come to think of it. I am oddly attracted to the texture of the packaging.

I also enjoy the smell of them. I agree that they all seemed fairly sheer, but this might be a good thing if someone plans on wearing them with other colours on their lips. I ended up only getting the lilac coloured one, Foolishly Fab, as it gave a really unique effect to my lips-it turned them very cool toned, a kind of pinky frozen lilac that I'm loving. As far as plumping power, I didn't notice any difference, but I strongly suspect that's because I plump my lips every morning with Lip Fusion...perhaps I'll try the new lip plumper by itself tomorrow and see how that goes.

i can't agree more with the desc. of these...it's weird, i thought full flame looked like sushi flower at first, but obviously more muted and with more glitter, but now that you bring it up...pink mauved is way more of an appropriate comparison.
peppier, which i ended up with on accident and didn't realize until after i'd left the store, reminded me of love bud, but brighter. i hate colors like these so needless to say i was like, "UGH"
zeal KINDA reminded me of trax, it was pretty, but purples aren't really my thing
blue edge is GORGEOUS, something i've never seen before...it has gold almost reflective-like shine, kinda like how club has the green hint
jeweltone is like parfait amour, except with glitter, and brighter
b-rich reminded me of sensualize (naturally eccentric), pretty, but not too much richer or exciting than tempting (it's just a deeper hue)
hmm. slip pink has no color payoff on me (i bought it with lingerie), so that's not worth getting, if anyone was interested.
and i didn't really check out lightshade, kinda reminded me of a muted retrospeck with toned-down shimmer

plushglasses are SEXY. great color selection, the one that looks like a lighter palatial is hot. didn't pick any up, but the looked really good under the lights (lol)

as for the liners, smoothblue was standout; jade way = minted, but deeper; auto-de-blu looks like blooz, yet richer; and the others are kind of boring, just waterproof, self-sharpening versions of the other perm. colors...the MA was all, "and these are LE as well" and i'm like, "actually, they're not" but i didn't say that (just in case), cuz i'm sure she'd want to know how i knew and yeah...
