Since I have started only using Mac lippies and glosses I have noticed how dry and cracked my lips are getting...so much so that I start annoyingly picking at them

I always use lipbalm underneath lippie but am wondering perhaps if they just dont agree with me or what I can do to stop the terrible dryness?

I suggest using Clinique's All About Lips. My lips are dry and flaky and using Clinique's All About Lips works instantly! I usually apply it before I put on any MAC lipstick or lipgloss. There are MAC lip primers that you can use to see if it'll help also. I've never used it before so I can't really tell you if it does the job. HTHS!

Palmers cocoa butter is a god send for dry cracked lips.
I apply a little of the stuff thats in the big white tub on my lips at night and in the morning they are nice and smooth.

This probably sounds really disgusting, but I use regular moisturizer with collagen in it. It works so well and makes my lips look fuller. It makes my lipstick or gloss really glide on as well.

I use a lip exfoliator by BeautiControl (direct sales company, like MaryKay) called Lip Apeel. It is a white cream and you look like a clown while you have it on but you only leave it on for about three minutes then massage it off. It makes your lips sooooo soft and smooth. I've also heard that some people use a soft manual toothbrush and gently exfoliate the lips that way. Exfoliate as needed - you might need to do it every day to start then once you are doing it regularly once every few days should be good.

In addition to the tips above, do use lipbalm before you sleep too, it will definately help.

it's actually the complete opposite in my case- i get the softest lips with MAC's lipglasses & lustre lipsticks- even after they wear off!

Girlstar has good advice about the warm washcloth. That works really well. You could gently rub some MAC Scrub on your lips. That stuff is pretty mild.

If you are just reacting to MAC lip products, it could be an allergic reaction to an ingredient in their line.

where i live we have extreme winds this time of year, so no matter how much Chapstik i wear, my lips get ravaged.

every other day, put some Carmex on your lips and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes, then get an old tooth brush and brush your lips lightly with it for a few seconds to exfoliate (i suggest doing this at night because lipgloss/stick doesn't show up very well on freshly exfoliated lips

) then during the night, sleep with a liberal coat of Vaseline on your lips, or apply Vaseline over Chapstik/lipbalm before you go to sleep

HTH!
