I went to my local Sephora today and turned in my application. I was only looking for a part time job, but after looking over my application the Manager/Director ask me if I would be interested in being a Color specialist because of my management history. Which of coarse I was super excited!! A-because it sounded fun B- it would be full time, I honestly have no clue of what this position's responsibilities are other than open/close the store and motivate the team in product knowledge. (not her exact words, but an over all what I gathered from what she said.) I have been in the beauty industry for 11 years and have held just about every position a person could have from low man to High man, so I don't have any doubt I can be a Color Specialist but I would like to get more information on exactly what the responsibilities and requirements are with this position. I have my group interview Monday and have wanted to be apart of this company for a while, everything is happening much faster than I expected! THANKFUL!! But I want to be prepared to the best of my abilities! Thank you for input! So excited to hopefully be on this Sephora journey!!

PS-So many of your comments and questions have been extremely helpful in the search to prepare myself! Thank you!

Hey... I just came across your tread and was wondering if you found out what the position entailed. I applied for a job with a big department store and after a lengthly interview was told I was over qualified. I however had a phonecall form Dior Area Manager asking to meet with me as I was recommended for the job as color specialist. I have no idea what the job is and no idea what to expect. I am hoping you can shed some light? I have to meet with her in 30 hours and can not find any information. I hope you did well and got the job! Thanks
