If a site is 'hacked' personal information is compromised. No personal information has been compromised.

Although I'm not completely sure...but I *think* the diff. is that hacking is getting into databases, customer/client/member info., either for illicit use, or just for the "fun" of it (don't ask me why the hell some people think this is a fun thing to do). I guess you could call defacement a form of hacking...it's when somebody gets into the site and screws with the graphics (like the other week when people tried to log in to Specktra and got that skull with the creepy music)...I guess that's the basic difference. Anyone can feel free to correct me
