i have some blushers from everyday minerals and i absolutely love them, but they're hard for me to apply because they're loose powders. does anyone know if you can use the same method of pressing pigments to press minerals?

I read somewhere that someone tried to press their BE glimmers and it didn't work very well (it crumbled back into a powder when touched with a brush) because since mineral makeup doesn't have binders, it's harder to press it into pan form.

Yeah, I think you are better off just using them loose. I would suggest getting sifters if your everyday mineral ones don't already have them, and covering half the holes in the sifter with tape (I just leave half of the packaging sticker on all my BE stuff) so too much doesn't end up on top of sifter.

I've heard of folks pressing mineral foundation/powder with just alcohol - the same as pigments. I've also heard of folks using hand sanitizer to press minerals. This was only briefly and in passing, so I'm not sure what the saying power of any of them was/is.

Fyrrinae makes what they call a "powder modifier," but I haven't tried it. I want pressed minerals, but I really don't want to make them myself. LOL
