and i'm wondering if there's any significant difference between primary yellow pigment and chrome yellow eyeshadow. do you find one easier to work with or that one has better color payoff or anything like that?

thanks in advance

i also perfer the pigment. its much more concentrated. a little goes a looong way. with chrome yellow, you need to layer it on. and it can be a little chalky.
hope that helps!

normally i would go with a pigment any day over the shadow but i have the worst luck with matte piggies...they go everwhere when i try to apply them.

You might also want to consider canary yellow, I haven't seen it in person, but it looks nice on swatches and might be slightly more usable.

Yea, canary yellow is more of a true yellow, just a bit brighter. I like it, but don't have it (YET!!!). I DO own both the primary yellow pigment and the chrome yellow pigment, and strangely, I prefer the chrome yellow. If you have a good base, you don't really need to layer it on.
