I am interested in purchasing some Pro Pigments. Just wondering if anyone has tried Burnt Burgundy, Landscape Green, Gold or Platinum!

Thanks

I love gold and platinum - they're a true metal pigment (looks almost like foil on). Lovely - Can sting if they get in the eyes (not eye safe). These 2 pigments are very fine - like dust. A new jar will not be full to the top, as metal pigments are heavier than most of the others and are so finely milled.

As for the other two, they're matte and can be harder to work with. I'm a shimmer girl, so I haven't worked with the mattes much.

i finally got over my phobia of mattes, and bought landscape green and burnt burgundy at the pro store awhile back. i really like them. they work great when blended together with a shimmery shade, either lighter or darker, and they seem to go on really well when applied with a brush (the 239 or 228) and then blended out well. mattes do take a bit of practice to get the hang of, but are worth it when you get the desired effects. marine ultra and french violet are two other mattes that i'm quite fond of.

gold and platinum are okay, but i don't really like the metal formulation. i've used them on my eyes, even though they're not eye safe, and din't have any problems, but i would NOT recommend it, as i know a lot of people DO have problems with the metals in the eye area. i just don't particularly care for the finish and look of the metals.

I have burnt burgandy and it is really pretty (looks great with shale). Anyway, I have found the best way to use the matte pigments is to use them over another powder shadow or loose powder. I don't use them right over a CCB, paint, shadestick or udpp..if I use one of those as a base I always put a little powder shadow or transluscent powder before I use the matte pigment...they won't go on choppy this way, much smoother.
