Problems defining my outer v

Hello!

Any reccomendations of how can i do that? I try loading up my 219 brush with colour (usually dark) and dot it on my outer v but the colour doesn't come as intense as i want it to. I mean it just looks like i've put a colour in there. I would love to be able to achieve that look.

Any reccomendations??

thanks

For me, what I do is to actually draw a little angle of the dark color on my outer v. I try to extend the angle line on my crease a little to about the middle. Then I blend the colors with my 217 by going over the dark color in the same angle motion. Urgh I don't know how to explain it.

I also notice that most times defining my outer v with deep colors of the same shade results in practically little to no definition at all unless i look closely (e.g. this morning I did a wash of Gold Stroke over the entire lid and defined my outer v with Coco Beach. now Coco Beach is a pretty deep color but it didn't seem to make a difference on my eyes) So normally, if I want that awesome outer v definition that we see on the FOTD boards, I just try to use a black e/s shade (like Carbon and those other black e/s with glitter flecks) and then blend like crazy.

To deposit more color into my outer V I use my 266 and blend with my 219. The 266 is small enough to really get in there. I heard using the 272 works great as well because it's got that angled flat edge.

i use a very small shading brush. mine is the little mini inglot one that you can put in their 5 pan palette. it's the same shape as the 213 but much smaller.

i always had issues getting the outer v shape right until i got this brush. now if i could just work out how to apply the e/s to make the colours stand out...
