Project Dupe it: MSF

I didn't see any post similar to what I'm trying to go for, but I hope that this is onto something. This post is mainly a response to the beautiful Petticoat dupe that was provided, and maybe we can get a chain of dupes going. I think that it would be good if we included Non MAC brands too which are known for loose mineral items (Bare Essentials for example).

I was just playing with Glissade and Gold Spill and was able to isolate colors and swatch them on my skin. From that, I was able to test (of the very limited pigments that I have) ones which might be close. Here are my results... I am an NC 45 or higher.

Gold Spill has 4 identifiable colors:
White: The way the white patch swatched looked a lot like Vanilla pigment. White in the jar, golden on the skin.
Brown: I tried to match this with Chocolate Pigment, but the result was too cool... maybe a warmer brown pigment? EDIT I just found a nice match with Mulch and Antiqued together with slightly more Mulch.
Gold: I can't really distinguish this one from the pink.
Pink: I can't really distinguish this one from the gold.

Glissade, I could only find 2 colors:
Pink: This is pink, but a very dark one since it shows up on my skin, but doesn't look ashy. It is very similar to Revved-Up, only darker or warmer.
Peach: This looks more pink to me than peach (maybe it's my skin). Fairy-Lite is too frosty... I can't find anything in my collection like it.

I have only used one of the Laura Gellar's myself, but I did just pick up her Baked Basics set today. I'm looking forward to getting to try them out, as the peach one that I have tried wore nicely.

I LOVE laura gellar blushes. they dont have a tremendous color selection, but the ones they have are great. they are shimmery without being chunk and glittery. the colors are great and buildable.

I totally agree! The Laura Geller blushes are in my opinion same quality as MAC MSF, but not as glittery.

I also agree- I believe I saw a thread here that showed some factory that actually made both LG and MAC MSF.
