Proper care of false eyelashes

I know they're re-useable with "proper care" but what on earth is that? I tried rinsing my last pair off with tap water and the results weren't pretty.

if i've put mascara on them, i brush them with an old mascara brush that i washed and kept years ago. but that's all i do.

I put mine right back in the little plastic case they came in after I use them and I make sure to mold it back to the contour of the half circle to keep the shape.

To clean them, I use a pair of tweezers to peel off the dried glue and eye makeup residue that sticks to it. Bieng gentle I can use one pair about 5 times.

i'm so guttered!! i brought some a couple of weeks ago, i took them off before i went to bed and i lost them!!! argh!! they were the really cool ones too (the ones that were really long at the ends!). So from learning, the proper way to care for these babies is to put them back into their boxes IMMEDIATELY after taking them off!! Also never put mascara on them cos they just ruin and muck up the lashes

What I do is, if I have mascaraed them ( which I do occassionally) I use an eye makeup remover on a cotton ball and gently wipe off the mascara.

Jojoba oil works well here too. When there is a need to remove the adhesive from the lashes, I pick off all I can manually. For the hardcore gluey bits, I wipe with a cotton ball saked in Isopropyl Alcohol. That seems to work fantastically. Then I wipe them for the last time with a bit of water on another cotton ball. Viola! I seem to get tremendous millage from my falsies, when I clean them like this.

Yes, I store them back in the container all prepared for their next big outting.
