Purple base product. (Shiseido?)

Hey guys! I love using purple eyeshadows and pigments but I don't have a purple base product, right now I just use a colorless base. I was planning on getting MAC's Nice Vice paintpot, that's coming out with Fafi, reading the colordescription but hearing peoples thoughts on it and seeing pictures it's not what I'm looking for: a true purple.

I'm intrested in Shiseido's Hydro-powder eyeshadow in Violet Vision, wich looks so beautiful! I do wonder if it's useful as a base, considering the description says "this dewy cream eye shadow transforms into powder." If it's powdery it won't be like a base, right? I would love to hear your thoughts on this product as it's quite expensive.

Also if anyone know a nice purple base-type product (in any price range), please let me know!!

Thanks in advance for your reactions!

Looking at your avatar, you could rock the purple and lavender!

Aside from Shiseido, which I have tried and was pleased with, I would suggest:

My fave is most definitely the Vincent Longo. A truly amazing colour. You also get dual-usage out of it, as it is a great base or great on it's own over a Paint or Primer Potion.

Just an FYI, I generally don't have any issues with creasing. My lids are not oily, so I am an easy customer to please in the bases category. Just to give you an idea of my skin type for comparison.

Hope that helps.

That's really helpful MAC_Whore, thanks for posting the links!

I don't believe Vincent Longo is availeble over here (After reading something about it in the blog I looked into that brand) But seeing you're so pleased with it I'll see if I can get my hands on it online!

The Shadesticks and Guerlain cream sound great too, I might have to get more than 1 base

I LOVE anything Shiseido and the Hydro-Powder eyeshadows are no exception. They dry powderier than they go on but are very creamy to apply ... beautiful, pigmented colors to choose from. I would check ebay for deals too, I know of some very trusted Shiseido sellers if you'd like some recs.

A MA at MAC told me to use my Macroviolet fluidline as a base. It's a lovely, purple-maroonish color. I've used it underneath my Beautiful Iris e/s, and it held up nicely! HTH!
