question about SE brushes

I got the brushset from the holiday collection last year, including the SE129, the SE213, the SE224, the SE242, the SE266 and theSE316.

the 242 brush was SE totally different than the 'normal', and I feel the same about the 266.

My question to you guys is, how big is the difference between the 224 and the SE224?

I absolutly adore the SE224, but if the 'normal' one is even better, I want that one too, but if the quality is the same, I don't want to waste a lot of money purchasing the exact same brush.

i have both of them (as the SE came in a set). In my opinion they are both the same quality wise, i just prefer the longer handle.

I have both as well, but my personal preferance is the short handle.
They are both excellent quality though.

There are slight differences I have noticed between regular and SE brushes. I have #166 and #166SE and the SE is slightly wider with noticeably different coloured fibres. The #224SE has slightly shorter, more widely spread and less accurately trimmed fibres. The #129SE I have is much more widely spread so is quite a bit wider than the #129. I'll post some comparison pictures later. All the brushes are very good though so the SE brushes do still represent very good value for money.

I got the 224SE brush from ebay and i dont like it as much as my 224 brush. the hairs are harsher and itchy when i apply e/s on. I love the 224 brush! Its WAY better than the 224se!
