That's very true! I am a freelancer (not for prescriptives) and make much less than $17-22 an hour! It also depends on your region and how much cost of living and minimum wage is in your area! Congrats on the new employment!
BTW, I worked part time at BBW when I first started freelancing, but I was working on my esthetics license which I now have, so now I work in a spa and freelance less. BBW was good though because they like to work you in 3 hour shifts also, so I would work 3-5 at the counter and 3 at BBW and be around beauty stuff all day!
