Question

I'm returning my Lucky Jade shadestick sometime this week (its much to bright) & I was wondering, should I pick up an extra Overgrown & Spring up? And should I order two Love-Buds from the website? I use them all the time, & I'm affraid I'll run out & than I'll be screwed...

what does everyone think? Pick up the backups, or don't worry about it?

i dont usually get back-ups because new colors are always being released, but i wont lie and say i never have because i did buy a back up of lingerie lipstick because i have a hard time finding good lip colors.

I wouldn't...I mean...something will come along soon that you'll love better...

and even if you run out of it...something similar is always made...

buying backups for stuff is a slippery slope, i'm tellin ya, especially with all the LE stuff mac is coming out with. you'll start worrying that you're gonna run out of everything.

look in your collection for anything you've hit pan on and think about how long it took to use up that much. if it wasn't very long, then a backup wouldn't hurt, but don't get carried away! lol, seriously, the back-up buying thing can totally mess with your head.

I guess if you really, really love them, why not get some backups. Worst case scenario: you get them, you get sick of them - you can always sell em on ebay or on here and possibly make a little moolah, seeing as they are LE items.
In all honesty, I rarely buy backups b/c as noted above, there are always new things coming out and you do get tired of things, your tastes change, trends come and go. I really only stockpile very neutral items, ie: Shroom shadow. These colours you mention are more trend colours but hey, lots of people claim them to be their fave alltime shadows so who knows!

Either way, I am sure you can't go wrong

What happens to me is that I buy a backup, and then I realize I have so much freakin stuff I will never get through the original, let alone the backup. So I have sold 99% of my backups & I don't regret it.

I would get back ups, if you fall out of love you can always sell them. 8)

I have actually never used any backup I've bought because, as others have said, something I've fallen in love with more has always come along. Half the fun of make-up for me is buying new things anyway!

There are only 4 things I have backups of because they are one's I absolutely adore I use alot of (Metamorph e.s, De Menthe e.s, Indie Girl l.s, & Monarch l.s).
But agree do agree with the other girls. Besides, Overgrown is just another verson of Bitter & MAC seems to come out with new pale yellows quite often.
