oh well... they can't all be winners.

they had a "Skin is In" seminar this morning at my closest MAC counter, but they still didn't have the Moistureblend foundations for it.

the best thing about this morning was getting a chance to chat with a couple of MAs from the Montreal Pro Shop. and the generous samples of cream colour base in Shell, lip condition in Gentle Coral and Studio Moisture Fix.

if only they could've waited a week for D'Bohemia....

Wow, what sizes were the samples? I can't imagine sampling a CCB unless they totally just scooped it out.

there's about a half teaspoon of ccb and lip conditioner, which is pretty darn good. the lotion is full!

i forgot to mention that i finally bought two lipsticks that have been on my must buy list for YEARS - Fresh Moroccan and Fresco. i also picked up another tube of Frenzy.

yes, i seem to like the letters F, R and E... wanna make something of it????

i was a bit peeved that i had to use the gift card today instead of waiting for next weekend....

yeah, but Ottawa is so small it's not like you have to drive an hour to get from Kanata to St. Laurent - especially on the weekend!

I live in the west end too but I usually get my MAC fix from the counter at Rideau because I work downtown. I don't always like the people who work that one though. Sometimes I go to the one at Bayshore.

I've never been to the St-Laurent store, is it any different from the others in terms of service and selection?

There are lots of people from Ottawa on this site and makeupalley though some have deleted their accounts or don't come on anymore. :-(

well, i'm kind of partial to the St. Laurent store because it's in between my home and office - and 5 minutes away by bus for the weekends.

unfortuantely, my favourite MA, with whom i had a REALLY good working relationship, left in January to go work for NARS at Holt's. so if you go to Holt's for anything, say hello to Bella.

i know just about everyone at St. Laurent and Rideau, though there have been more new faces over the past year or so than before.

André from Rideau was doing one of the makeovers yesterday at the seminar i was at.

the St. Laurent counter is smaller than the one at Ridea and Bayshore, but they also don't run out of stuff as fast as downtown.
