rec for homemade brush cleanser

Hey guys,

I have a bunch of MAC brush cleanser that I love, but I'm doing a job tomorrow where I'm literally doing 20 ladies' makeup and I really don't want to waste my mac brush cleanser on them because I know I'll be using it a lot between women. I won't have access to running water, so shampooing them isn't an option. Straight rubbing alcohol works *slightly* but not enough for what I need.

Any suggestions?

Since you won't have access to running water, I would recommend just filling a spray bottle with a pump or two of antibacterial soap and water and using that to spot clean. It works just as well as MAC brush cleanser and is inexpensive.

Thanks, found this in the meantime and already made it. Works pretty decent. Just using it for one day so it'll work fine

bottled water- 1 cup
91% alcohol- 1/4 cup
dishwashing soap- 1/2 tsp.
baby shampoo-1/2 tsp.
leave in conditioner (like infusium)- 1 tsp.

For "no water" cleaning, I use and love Brush Off cleanser. Comes in a spray bottle and works like a charm for me. I always have this in my kit.

bleh i hate brush off, when I worked for Clarins that's all we had to use and it works horrible. Try making the recipe I posted, it works much better and you save yourself some money

I've actually used Brush Off for years and it has always worked well for me. I'll definitely give your recipe a try, though.
