Rec for yellow e/s

Hi, there! I'm new to this site but have found excellent advice here and hope you can help me out on this one.

I'm starting my MAC e/s collection (I love MAC e/s) and I'm looking for a nice yellow that can go with any of the following colors:
steamy, lavander sky, scene 1, and beauty sleep

In case this helps, I'm more of a subtle makeup kinda girl (cause I'm rather shy) and am of Asian skin (NW 20) with black hair and dark brown eyes.

Also, since I'm dying to try out a summery turquoise look, any tips on how I can apply steamy so it doesn't show up like I have a black eye?

If you are looking for a subtle yellow colour you could try Rose Blanc from the Strange Hybrid collection, its a very subtle golden yellow. For a truer colour try either canary yellow (pro colour) or for something more vibrant that could be toned down through combining it with more 'muddy' colours there is always the fantastic chrome yellow.
I think though, with the colours you mentioned Rose Blanc would be the prettiest and the easiest to work with.
As for steamy - have u tried apply with either the 219 or a q-tip as a line over your upper lashes, almost as a liner - this can look very fresh looking in the summer and isnt too overpowering.

I'm also NW20 and Chrome Yellow looked really weird on me - I have very sallow, almost olive caucasian skin and it drained the living daylight out of me...

I've not tried Rose Blanc, but the yellow e/s I would recommend you check out for NW20 is Gorgeous Gold. It's a fresh springy almost "primrose" yellow, still plenty bright 'n zingy but *slightly* softer than Chrome Yellow, with lots of shimmer and a hard-to-describe (but pretty) greenish undertone to it. It works really well with Steamy, also purples, pinks, peaches and greens complement it well.

i'm asian .......... but i cant tell you what NW i am coz i dont wear foundation or anything. i ought to find that out anyways one day ...

but yeah, i'd say DEFINITELY go with Rose Blanc ...

its a lovely color, one of my favorites and i usually tend to stay away from yellows and some golds as they seem to make me look sickly but this color i absolutely LOVE.

if you spend time practicing and playing with your makeup, you should be fine with chrome yellow.... buying it might be tough because you'd def second guess it, but it's the truest yellow. a lot of the looks you see on here or on people and say 'wow, that yellow looks great!' it's usually chrome yellow...the others i feel can get washed up and mistaken for something else. chrome yellow can def be toned down if need be. but i'm so glad it's part of my makeup case!

gorgeous gold works and looks yellowish, green, gold, but when you want yellow, chrome yellow is the way to go! i love it!

I'd have to agree with playing with your makeup and trying out chrome yellow - i know it SCREAMS yellow, but it's the closest to a true yellow that you will get.
But you can always start with a more subtle shimmery yellow gold such as gorgeous gold - it'll be lovely on your complexion
