recent mac postcards

I'd also not gotten a postcard with a new collection order since Sundressing, but I place a couple oddball orders from MAC in the weeks before Danse came out and got a Danse postcard each time.. *shrug* Maybe they're being included with orders placed before a collection is released as a promotion?

i've been wondering the same thing. i kept going back to my counter and f/s store practically everyday since release but they haven't received anything and the ma's aren't aware if they will ever get the postcards at all. i'm thinking of calling the online number tomorrow to inquire.

Just a pre-emptive reminder, should anyone have any Danse or Jewelescent mailers/cards that they'd like to swap/sell/buy - all sales and swaps need to be in the Clearance Bin forum only.
I've noticed a downturn in cards and mailers recently - I used to get everything in the mail, but I haven't had anything in a few months. Maybe they're trying to put a halt on the postcard/mailer resale market?

unfortunately i've only 1 mailer..So i'm definitely keeping this for myself.
but i want another one to paste on my wall. because I usually keep 2 copies...1 in the drawer and 1 to paste on the wall.
And yea lara i noticed that MAC recently has produced less postcards
No nocturnelle postcards/mailer...No jewelscent postcards/mailer...
And in my country, they didn't even bring in Amuse postcards. I had to do a swap for it on MUA....
Are they cutting costs? Or are they afraid of other cosmetics company of copying their graphic design/ promotion? gRUmbles...i want more postcards/mailers

Besides even less postcards, I've also noticed the emails I've gotten lately do not have mention of a free shipping code in them, which they pretty much always used to. I know on the website they have the "Promotions" that has the free shipping with $55 order, or something like that, but they used to have the codes in the emails I got. Also, they've recently started charging sales tax to shipments in Kansas, which they hadn't been doing I thought maybe because there are no freestanding stores in KS, or at least weren't last I knew. I figured maybe it's to try to get people to order less online and buy more in the stores...but a sale's a sale for them, so that probably doesn't make sense. It's not always easy for me to get to a store so I've ordered a ton online over the years.

As far as the tax being charged to your orders now, it’s just your state’s revenue dept catching up with businesses that do business in your state. They want to collect their fair share of state taxes. MAC does not charge you the local sales taxes—just the state ones. Has nothing to do w/MAC wanting customers to buy from stores instead of online.

The last postcard I got was for A Muse. I don't think there were cards for Jewelescent and Nocturnelle (not that I've seen anyways). There IS one for Danse, but my sister picked up my Danse stuff so I don't know if my counter had any. If they did cut back on them because of the selling, well, I kind of don't blame them, although making them more "rare" is just going to make prices even crazier.

Agreed, if they wanted to stop the resale market they should produce more cards. They are going to make the resale market hotter by producing less.

Oh yeah, I've been aware of our state years ago trying to figure out how to go after catalog sales, etc. I figured it was a matter of time.
I'd gotten the Danse and Conceal emails like I normally do, but if there was a free shipping code on there, I missed it. I could only find the "over $55" promotion with no code needed on the website. I am needing bifocals, tho!
The postcards were always random anyway, but it just seemed like I noticed these changes all at the same time. I've always felt I need to make the special trip to the mall when I'm in town so I can buy from the girls there anyway. They're all really great and I should buy from them before going online somewhere.

Last big mailer I got was for Lure, since I have the pro card I do get mailers every once in awhile. I've not got a postcard in an order from MAC.online since Liza Minelli!!

I have gotten postcards for all the past collections apart from Jewelescent, Noctunelle and maybe some of the smaller collections? (I can't recall that far back, haha)
I have a Danse postcard but it isn't full body like the picture posted above though. I really wanted a Noctunelle postcard though - I love Dita!
