Recommendation for MUFE HD Foundation

Hi everyone, newbie from Australia here! I hope I have posted this request in the correct area, if not, feel free to point me in the right direction!

I need your advice with MUFE HD Foundation colour matching as I have to purchase this on-line (amazon.com). I currently use MAC Studio Fix in NW25 or the Select in NW20 - how would that translate across to the MUFE range? I was thinking the 117 or 118. Has anyone else moved from MAC to MUFE in foundation? Results? The good and the bad!

I am also thinking of the Primer in blue and the HD Face Powder.

Thanks so much!

I'm a NW20 & use MUFE HD in 115, Check out this blog HERE as the girl has posted decent swatches of the various colours available (she is also NW20). I also own the HD face powder & IMO it's way over priced as all it is, is silica powder & that can be bought from coastal scents for $4 USD per 28 grams (I also have the CS one & it's the same thing).

As for the primers I gave them a miss as I like the smashbox photo finish primer.

Hope that helps

EDIT: BTW The MUFE from Amazon ships from Sephora so it's not eligible for International shipping, you'll need to use a mail forwarding service like shopaholiques otherwise media make up in Adelaide sell MUFE online.

Thanks for getting back to me, I think the 115 may be too light as we are coming into Summer....

Is the CS one as finely-milled as the MUFE one? I notice that is the biggest difference between my MAC setting powder and the MUFE (the MUFE is much finer.)

As far as colors, I found that there were literally at least 3 shades of HD that I could wear without issue. At the same time, I can wear different shades in MAC as well.

Hi Cobi,

Honestly I can't see a difference between the CS silica spheres & MUFE HD powder.

Both are light fluffy powders that are smooth to apply & disappear right into the skin.

There possibly is a marginal difference between the two but it's nothing I've noticed.

I wish I could do a side by side comparison for you to compare but I'm in Aust at the moment & only bought the CS powder with me (I usually travel with my cheaper stuff so if it breaks, spills or gets left behind I wont mind so much, lol)

Also thought I might add for Sh3lby70, 117 is for yellow undertones & 118 is for beige undertones so if you wanna go darker you might want to try 130 (medium light skin with beige pink under tones) or 135 (medium skin with pink undertones)
