Hey ladies
I'm hoping to get some of your rec's for the following brushes:

Face
1. Something thats good for blending foundation, blush etc (maybe even bronzer?)
2. Angled cheek brush - something thats good for conturing - applying highlighter, blush etc

Eyes
(FYI My eyes are a little bit hooded (deep-set) and are small/medium in size.. so larger eye brushes, I personally don't think will work well on me)
1. Something thats good and easy at blending above the crease.. I do ALOT of smokey eyes..
2. Something thats good at defining the crease
3. Something that I can apply shadow/pigment with on my eyelids or do an all over wash with
4. A good eyeliner brush that allows me to create defined straight lines

Eyebrow
1. Preferably an angled eyebrow brush since I have to fill in half my brows!

I think thats it for now..

Yes definitly what everyone else has said!
I think the holiday brush sets coming out could provide you with most the brushes you are looking for!

I would possibly reccomend the square foundation brush too! Thats amazing, my new fave brush! I use that to apply then buff with 187.

I would definitly get the 187, it will work for everything you mentioned

2. Angled cheek brush - something thats good for conturing - applying highlighter, blush etc
168 is the best angled cheek brush imo.

Eyes
1. Something thats good and easy at blending above the crease.. I do ALOT of smokey eyes..
I recommend the 217 for all your blending needs!

2. Something thats good at defining the crease
I think the 219 would be best for this.

3. Something that I can apply shadow/pigment with on my eyelids or do an all over wash with
The 227 is hands down the best for applying an all over colour

4. A good eyeliner brush that allows me to create defined straight lines
I have found the 210 to be the best MAC eyeliner brush, but my favourite is Bobbi Browns eyeliner brush.

Eyebrow
1. Preferably an angled eyebrow brush since I have to fill in half my brows!
I would go for the 208 for eyebrows

I think thats it for now..

You have received great recs already.

If you had to start with 2 brushes only - I would do the 187 (face) and the 217 (eye).

i'm going to MAC next week and i need recommendations on brushes too...

i already have :
#217
#239
#266

i know most of you WILL recommend getting the #187 (which i will).. but it sucks how it's worth AU$85.... but since everyone seems to swear by it, i'm going to splurge on it..

and i still can't make up myy mind about #224, #182 and #168...
1. do i really need #224 if i already have #217?? Does it make any difference in blending?
2. do i really need #182 if i already have TBS nature's mineral foundation brush and other cheaper kabukis (like EDM flat top)?
3. is #168 a good brush for contouring?? or basically, can i use any cheapo slanted angled blush brush??

I know its not MAC (this is the only thing that botheres me about this brush
greengrin.gif
) but as a eyeliner brush especially with fluidline I can highly recommend the get bent liner brush by benefit. It works perfect for me. I can't really handle perfect lines with hard angled brushes

I heard only great opinions on the 217 too. I need this one for blending too but I wait for it to buy it with the Brush sets.
I like the 224 but it is a little big for me too so the blending might not be that exact as you want it if you have small/medium eyes.
I also have the 225 but this is even larger and I only use it to blend a bit up from my crease to the highlight on the browbone.
So I second to skip the 224 and 225 and get the 217.

That's what I was thinking tooo...

I have way hooded eyes... Not deep set, but the skin hides the lid when they're open... yea...

Skip out on the 224 and get the 222... Sometimes I use the Shu 4R cuz it's soooooo tiny(but this is about MAC, sorry)...

The 168 is good for contouring as already said...

And then a liner and lip brush... I don't think they're that interesting to go into details about...

Good luck kiddo
