Straight to the point, I plan to get a few items from MAC (newbie to MAC) and a Bobbi Shimmerbrick so I would love some recommendations on what shades I should get. I'd like really versatile shades that I can wear daily. I plan to get paints, paintpots, fluidline, shadestick, mineralized skin finish and of course, a Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick. I just don't know which shades I should get. I feel bad to go to the counter and try everything and not buy because I intend to get the products at a sale. lol.

Thanks!

this is how I look like. sorry for the collage. I'm too lazy to upload a single pic so this is the existing one tht I have.

I think apricot shimmer brick would look great on you, I have it myself and its one of my number one favourite cheek products.

^^ITA, Apricot Shimmerbrick would look fantastic, and so would Peony. If you want the bronzed look, then check out Brownie Shimmerbrick - it's brown/bronze with a hint of pink.

My absolute favorite paintpot is Rubenesque it's just so pretty and great everyday color. I pretty much use it daily along with woodwinked ,mulch, expensive pink, shroom and satin taupe and carbon or blacktied e/s. Those are probablly some great shades to start a new collection with. Sunbasque blush is great shade too..Oh and the shimmer bricks are just lovely defiently go with bronze or apricot. oh and shadesticks blah I hate them I know lots of people love them but for me I have to always heat them up with the dryer to get any good use from them. Id rather spend shadestick money on another paintpot like the bare study or something else hehe. Just my opinion on that.

good luck ..yay for new collectors =P

thanks so much! I'll definitely hunt for Rubenesque! Bare Study sounds good too. The current base that I'm using which is Indelible Cream Eyeshadow in Bare Necessity cakes up bad on my lids. looks very dry. ick

I'm afraid I still can't afford to "collect" MAC

I'll be going to a staff sale and I hope to get a few things without having to live on dust and air. lol.

You should def still try everything out before buying, better than buying and returning something later, or not liking it.
