Recs for starting my lipstick collection.

I've recently been getting into wearing lipstick more often, the only thing is I really don't have many to choose from.

I'm looking at getting MAC & I basically want to know what you guys think are some must-haves for my collection. There are way too many to choose from & I need some basics to start with. I guess I should also add that I'm not a big fan of frosts.

I'm fair-skinned NW15, dark brown hair. Thank you so much in advance!

I am n15 and have dark brown hair my faves are;

x angel or cremecup (pretty much same colour just different formulas)
x creme d'nude (for nudes)
x bombshell (for pinks)
x sandy b
x blankety/high tea/honeylove

omg thats crazy.. the lipsticks toxaemia mentioned in her post are all pretty much my favourite shades! i gotta add 'shy girl' to the list though.. its such a nice nude color! love the creamsheen formula..

I would get Viva Glam V, Snob, High Tea, and Crosswires if you want something a bit brighter, it is one of my staples! Be sure to check out all of the colors in the cremesheen finish, they are really pigmented and don't dry your lips out!

high tea, cremecup, crosswires and hue are all fantastic lippies! and of course the amazing hot pink that is girl about town!

I'm in love with Pink Nouveau, GAT, Show Orchid (if you can find it...it's Pro), and Vegas Volt.

I can't do matte lipsticks, so RR is out for me...but MAC Red is gorgeous too.

For nude/everyday shades I love Blankety, Myth and Hue. Love red L/S too, Ruby Woo is gorgeous.
For L/P's I'd rec. Subculture for all the nude/peach shades, it can even work with pink L/S's too.

Also, If you can get your hands on Cute-ster (from the HK collection) it's my favourite peachy colour EVER, so pretty!
