Hey everyone,
I'm really considering applying at MAC when I turn eighteen, because I'm really interested in the make up industry and just cosmestics in general.
So I was just wondering about how to put together a good portfolio? And what makes a good resume?
Since I can't get much experience working behind an actual cosmetics counter (because I'm still young, it kind of sucks), I just experiment with looks on friends and myself. I figure I might aswell start now and improve while I can, since I have at least two years before I can apply anyways.
Also, I was reading through a few posts about what MAC is looking for and I see that experience in retail is pretty important. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to where I should apply to get some experience? I also want more experience in make up application, so I was thinking of volunteering services? Like asking the head of the theatre department if I can help with makeup for school plays etc. Or doing makeup for friends for special events.
I know I had a few other questions, but I can't think of them at the moment. I'll update if I remember!
