I recently got a CHI hair iron on ebay, and i used it once, it didn't work. I sent an email to the seller requesting a full refund, and they replied ok, and with their address. What is my next step?
Paypal. I filed a complaint that it was in bad condition and wanted a refund. The seller replied to me that they provide no refunds. Then she asks for me to send the item back for a item price refund. It's $93 that I was uneasy paying as it is, I don't want to lose it altogether.
I've had to do that a couple times. Definately make sure you use some type of tracking. And make sure you wait until the Paypal decision goes through, because in the end, if they don't give you your money back, and you send it back, they don't have to give you anything.
If her feedback score is 100%, then I don't think sending it back would be an issue. To get a refund with most things, you have to send it back first and they'll wire the money back to you.
IF SHE SCREWS YOU OVER:
Go to your bank and ask to have a transaction reversed. They'll look for it (it'll either be listed as PayPal or something else) and the price you paid. It could take a month to get your money back and some paperwork, but you'll get it.
