Returning my collection, should I keep Angelcake or Living Pink?

Hi!

I’m feeling a little sad today, I have to return some items from my collection because I need tuition $ ASAP. The colors are so beautiful. I have about 20 unused products that I am returning for a refund. (Except for the Temperley because SAKS won’t take back Limited Edition products). I feel I need to keep something, and the pink shades look like the color I should consider.

Please give me your advice. I am trying to decide if I should keep the Living Pink or the Angelcake eye shadow, they look very similar in the pots. I already own ROSE (Mac Pro color) which I don’t like, and I have a limited edition quad from L’Oreal that also looks similar to Angel cake and Living Pink, and I don’t like that color either. OK, what do you think?

Both Angelcake and Living Pink are LE, so you might just want to try selling them here or something.

Everything I'm returning is Limited Edition (Tailormade, Belle Azure & Rebelrock Collections). only SAKS (hate them!) won't take the items back. The other department stores willl give me a refund.

I can sell on this site? I'm not sure, it might be to much trouble considering that the stores will give me a full refund. I can understand how some people on this site would like to get some of these items, but I can't afford to take a loss.

Does anyone have a photo wearing these two pinks?

you wouldnt take a loss, since these items are LE people might actually pay MORE so you may make a profit.

Yes, you can sell on this site but you must have a minimum of 20 posts to access the Clearance Bin forums.

I have sold items at auction but its time consuming. I will go to them to sell the items that I purchased at auction and don't want or need and for things that I have no receipt for.

I'm not getting rid of everything. I am keeping the backup to Shag & Ingenue Blue, my favorites! I'm also keeping Night Owl (although I have never used it, it looks too beautiful to part with). Does anyone have a photo wearing this color?
I don't see from the choices above where I can go to get information on selling, can anyone direct me?

I just really think it's a shame that you will be returning a ton of stuff that MAC will just toss. If you sold here or somewhere else, they would be going to someone who used them, and it wouldn't directly contribute to a price increase.

Not trying to scold, just my 2 cents.

They don't toss them (only the used ones), new items are re-sold. For example, only SAKS said no returns on LE items, because they can't sell them, regular items can be put back in stock.

MAC company policy is to destroy ALL returns, regardless of their usage status.

If you have further questions about selling here on Specktra.net, feel free to send me a private message, and I'll be glad to assist you.

Yeah, you could probably make a little profit on Angelcake and Temperley, especially since they're brand new.

Hi!
Good news, I called a couple of major department stores this weekend regarding their return policy. I was informed that they do not discard all returned items. They only toss items that they can't tell if they have been used (example: mascara, lipgloss). Items like eye shadows are re-sold when they have not been used. All the items that I might return are recently released New in Box Limited Edition eyeshadows and palettes.

If I had to choose between angelcake and living pink (which i hope I would never have to!) I would keep living pink. For me, that color is more bold and seems to *pop* while angelcake is a little more subtle...I dunno, i love them both!

Hmmm...that is odd. We do not put ANY returns back on the shelf. If a customer even walks to their car and comes back to return something, it goes in a bin. I figured all locations did that. (?)

That is company policy, to destroy all returns. It is possible that someone was just saying that it would be re-shelved, if they felt that the OP was going to sell the items herself instead of returning them. I do know that company policy is also to discourage consumer end resales.

Also huge returns puts your name in a data base for suspicious returns. I avoid it at all costs! I know certain people have been banned from Sephora for returns.
