Revlon colour stay foundation - question

Hi ladies....

I sit my imagination or did they change the yellow base in the revlon colour stay foundation (caramel) to a more peachy tone? I fell head over heels for this foundation about a year ago...flawless perfect lightweight finish that stays true all day...but I bought two new bottles at two different places and they both have more of a reddish/peachy undertone than the yellow base that the first bottle i bought had.

I'm coinvinced they changed the formula...becaue the consistency of the product is also thicker and a little harder to spread. Application isnt as breezy as that first bottle I had.
anyone knows whats going on? I'm so disappointed.

I've read on blogs that it's been reformulated something to do with the the new Softflex technology... so I wouldn't be surprised if yours changed... if you want to know for sure I would email Revlon =)

..i was out in the sun the other day and by the time i go tback into the office, the foundation had shifted.....that NEVER ever happened with the first bottle. It was perfect, even through heavy aerobics classes.

I'm not happy REVLON!

which one did u buy, oily or dry? I've read where lot of people have been saying the tone is different depending on the formula that u buy. I know the Mahogany/oily looked darker than mahogany/dry.

couture....I always buy the combination/oily. thats what i bought this time too...and its new stock, so i know its not a situation where the product is old or anything....

Ok, Ive figured out what’s wrong…sort of….when you purchase your RCS foundation, look at the back…if the product despcription doesn’t begin with ‘Looks fresh all day’, don’t buy it. The bottles that don’t have that on the back the formula is slightly greasy, isn’t transfer resistant and has a reddish base, instead of yellow. I did some research

Thanks WF, because i have the new one as well and i could see instantly it was redder than my previous one and oily too. Bleugh! Its hard finding a good drugstore foundation for WOC let alone a yellow based one. I'll keep a lookout for the packaging

Ok, i'm looking at both of my bottles (caramel and mahogany, combo/oily) and the caramel says transfer-resistant, oil free shine but it does not say Looks and feels fresh, however the mahogany says all of the above, but the mahogany looks like a red base and the caramel looks like a yellow base, dammit I'm all types of confused! I mix both together so I guess at this point it doesn't matter.

I just checked my Caramel 400 and Capuccino 410 Normal/Dry and they both say "Looks fresh all day." Thanks for the tip! So will any new bottles be the off colored one? Do I need to go stock up?

I've heard a few times that the new caramel has more of a reddish undertone, thanks for the tip I'll be sure to check the back

Thanks so much for posting this. I have been so busy that I missed last weeks sale. I'll look for the old packaging this week. If it works for me I'm going to stock up.

Ok, now that I think about it, I went to look at CS a few weeks ago when I found this thread and figured that I would be either Caramel or Cappuccino. I picked up Cappuccino and was like whoa, that's WAY red and put i right back down. Caramel was too light. I went to a different store today and the Cappuccino was not as red at all. It was very close to my MUFE HD 175. Now I want to go back to the first store to see what the back of that bottle says.
