RIP Naked You

So I got a Naked You MSF in a swap last week. I basically LOOKED at it, and it shattered.

The plus side: none spilled, i was able to put it in to a powder sifter and use it loose

.

And negative side: now that it's loose, there's more glitter than I could have possibly imagined

but FYI if your MSF breaks, Sephora sells an empty loose powder sifiter for 4 dollars (shameless plug)

Half my porcelain pink broke once and I was gutted! They break so easily...it's because the powders are so soft and finely milled. But i know what you mean, the effect isn't the same when it's loose...it goes on too bright and glittery now.

hah my Shimpagne has been broken for MONTHS (and months) now, and I've been too lazy to order one, so I've just been using the shattered remnants out of the original compact. I feel you though! I'm doing my best to keep from ordering a new one. I know I don't need it, I don't even use it enough to warrant buying a whole new one. . . but *sniff* I don't like that it's in pieces.

Oh, no, that's awful! However, I'm glad to have heard about it, so that I'll know not to take my MSFs with me in my purse or anything. I've never done it, but at least now I'll know that I shouldn't start!

My New Vegas did the same thing - all of a sudden, part of the dome was just cracked off - I never even touched it!
I smooshed it with alcohol, and now I like it in its application even more - it took away a lot of the larger shimmer that I don't really care for. It's ugly in the pan, but applies like silk!

I already dropped my Porcelain Pink and took it on a flight with me and it survived with no damage at all! *feels lucky right now*

yeah my first day with naked you it shattered, thank god i wouldn't use it too much now if it had been one of my other ones, i might have been a little heart broken.

where can you order it form? i just got one in a MUA swap and i want another, i dunno why darker girls hate on it, if you use a really light hand, it's beautiful on top of blush.

I dropped my Metal Rock the first few days I had it and cried.

Finally I got daring and gradually added drops of water to the chunks and kneaded it together until it was just damp. Then I pressed it back into the compact using the dome plastic insert as a form.

I baked it in the sun, but you could use a food dryer or oven on warm and it is almost good as new. Still a little tiny softer than before, but I still can use it if I am very gentle with it.

The more water I use, the more tough the top dries, which is what I want to make it less color swiped on a brush.

I dropped my Glissade while it was still in the bag. Very sad! I use it anyway of course, but it's just not as satisfying. lol!

ur in luck Shimpagne is being re-released this year!!!!
