I abosolutely love this movie. And im desperate to go and see what one of those midnight showings is like.

I went when I was like 18...sigh that was a LONG time ago.

Alas, when I went we had a blast. Everyone in the theater dressed up, huge men as women, women as men, etc. in grossly exaggerated, but everyone looked great in their own way, and it was a lot of fun. Everyone sang, and acted out the movie. It was soooo much fun. Ahh the memories.

I went to a live version of it at midnight. It was great. Everyone did the actions and everything.

A loooooong time ago I dated a guy who managed a theater that did the midnight Rocky Horror thing every Friday night. I went dozens of times. Some people came dressed as their favorite character, and they also had a cast that acted out the scenes during the movie. There are certain responses people shout out during certain scenes, and you can throw stuff like toast and rice. Everyone got up and danced during the "Timewarp."

I got to spray water all over everyone during the scene in the rain, when Brad and Janet break down in their car. I used one of those tanks like exterminators use, only it was filled with water, obviously. Lots of fun!

I loove the "Sweet Transvestite"! Its a part of our musical and the guy who sings his part look hilarious with his MU b/c he's a typical masculine man....

I absolutely LOVE the rocky horror picture show! Unfortunately here in kansas city, they only have shows for it around halloween...

I used to go every weekend in Washington DC about 20 years ago (God I am old!) with a friend who lived nearby...it was quite an experience. Everyone dressed up, brought "accessories" and basically partied all night. An experience I would kill MY daughter for if I ever found out she did it but of course for me it was different *grin*.
