Safely removing false lashes?

I was wondering if you guys knew how to remove falsies (a band of 'em) without peeling off our own lashes. I used eyelash glue to apply them and they're pretty much sticking to my lashes at the moment. I am going out for halloween tonight and I really don't want this one night of dramatic eyes to ruin my already wimpy lashes forever

I've heard that when you go to take them off, take some warm water and wash it over your lashes. This way it softens the glue and won't take your own lashes off! This will also help with removing the glue from the lashes if you want to save them. HTH!
