SD card help?

I'm no good with vaguely technical things at all and was wondering if one of you lovelies would know what to do? When I try to view photos on my computer from my SD card, a handful of them wont show at all. I've tried saving them to my computer and opening them in various programmes, but I just get a blank image - no message saying my computer doens't recognise what I'm trying to do or anything, just a blank image or no image at all. From every set of new photos I take, a few of them do this, which is quite annoying since I mainly take photos for college work. Is there anything I can do other than buying a new card? I've tried google, no use :/

I had that problem too...It was my card...But even when I got a new card I still have a few here and there that show up blank on the PC but I can see them on my camera...Wolfe Camera told me it was just a formatting glitch on the actual card and it happens...So I'm not real sure what causes this...Hopefully someone else will know.

It could be the SD card itself. Do you use the card reader on the computer or you're connecting your camera to the computer using a USB cable? Try to upload/view the photos on another computer and see if they show up.

I have the same problem when I try to view/copy images from my SD card on my work laptop using the card reader. When I use my personal laptop, the pictures show up. No idea why is that...

Thanks, I think it might me the card reader (USB cable broke :/) but I'll check it on my Dad's computer later tonight so I know whether or not to buy a new SD card in town tomorrow.
