I have my demo on Sunday and am wondering if anyone has any tips specific to the Fashion Valley location. I've read all the other threads which were way helpful, im just trying to go in there as prepared as possible. Thanks so much!

Oh. Well be prepared for a ton of people gawking at you during your demo, there's a very small space and tons and tons of by passers (but i'm sure you already knew that). I think that one does "group" demos, but I think that depends on what time of the year it is, they do a lot of hiring at certain points of the year (usually sept-october, before xmas) and then that one i believe does group demos, but probably not this time of year.

Good luck! That counter's relatively small, so it should be easy to navigate and find everything you'll need.

I don't think it will vary too much from the toher demos. Sunday at FV will be a zoo as always so just be prepared for more interuptions and less room to work with. I also might dress a little more conservatively for nordies. Best of luck!!!

well, had my demo today... i picked out the right colors for my loook. did at the right cleansing stuff. but, i ran out of time for lip liner and contouring. and i hated the eyeliner brush i had and screwed that all up. my mascara application was far from good. and for some reason i couldnt blend well enough for the life of me...on the plus, she liked my color placement, choice of color and several people thought i worked there. one lady asked me to show her what lipstick, liner and gloss i was wearing. meh... we'll see what happens.

You'll be fine ... I thought I screwed up because I didn't have enough time to line her lower lashline with eyeliner n her lipstick was horrible because it was way too light for the look I did ... I ran out of the time to fix that too. BUT I still got the freelance position so don't worry bout the lil things. ;-)

Don't feel down about the things you weren't satisfied with. I absolutely hated the look I did for my demo interview and was certain I had bombed it and I ended up getting the position. It's so easy to be hard on yourself, especially when you know you can do better and you want something really badly.
Plus, it sounds like there were a lot of positives

I hope you get the job! Was the interview for a perm position or freelance? Maybe we'll work together

Aw I'm sorry to hear that. Don't give up though, they said the samething to me the first time I applied. I waited a few months and kept practicing and applied again and I got it. Did they tell u when u did wrong? Cuz they didn't to me until I went and ask and I just worked on those things and tried again.
