SE brush sets

There is this MAC sale and they were selling brush sets in the SE version. I bought this basic set and it consists the 316, 129, 266, 239 and 219 SE brushes. However, the hairs' for 129 and 239 look different from the normal sized versions that I bought, especially the colour, is that normal? Also, the hairs on the 266, which is supposed to be used for eyelining, doesn't look tapered which I thought it should be since it's for precision lining, instead they looks kind of frayed and not "stuck together". I don't know if that is normal too because I don't have the 266 brush before and have never looked at it closely.

The brush sets are never as good quality as the full-sized versions.

We're talking about mass-production vs. hand-crafted.

The brush sets are definitely not the same quality as the full-length brushes. However, they do make a great starting point!
