Select or Blot Powder?

Hey y'all,
Planning out some hauling and I'm looking for a basic powder to set my foundation with - I use foundation for everyday coverage, so pigmented powder on top looks a bit too heavy.

I have Select in NC5, which has no colour payoff and it sets my makeup okay I suppose - I'm interested in Blot Powder though... I suppose this would be more for touch ups than setting makeup, but seeing as I have to touch up my nose shine many times a day *gaaaah* would this be a better powder to go with?

TIA! <3

Your right, blot powder has no colour payoff and is really only used to 'blot' any oil/shine during the day.

What about Prep & Prime Powder to set or MAC Invisible Set Pro. Whenever I use either of those I dont feel like I need to touch up during the day.

I love the new Transparent Powder far better than my Blot or Select to be honest ...but to answer the question between those two..I would say Blot Powder if you already wear foundation and are just looking to take the shine and oil away

Try the new Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing powder. I love it. It not only sets your makeup, but blurs out imperfections.
Bring along your Blot Powder for touch-ups throughout the day.

I love blot powder! I agree with TISH too about the transparent powder. It works wonders also.

Another one for Blot! It really takes away all shine [for a good number of hours] with no colour deposit.

For touch ups/taking shine away definately go with the Blot Powder. I've been using this for years and its a definate staple. I have on in the car at all times and one at home.

Thanks ladies ^_^ I think I'll keep my Select for just setting my foundation.. I find it blurs lines of contour etc nicely, and I'm going to get Blot powder for touch ups.

Blot powder is awful. I've never understood why people love it! It just makes my face an ashy mess and doesn't illiminate shine whatsoever. I would go for neither and go for MSF natural. Since I've stopped using MAC foundations/concealers my makeup lasts all day (before it would cake around my nose). Now I just use MSF natural to set my makeup and its perfect all day.

^ Oh well, I suppose I'll just have to wait and see if it works for me cause I've already ordered it ;/ MSF's hate my skin, they magnify pores and make me look terrible in general lol.
