Select SPF15+ V. Studio Fix Fluid

I've been using Select SPF15+ for about 6 months now and although I do like it, I tend to need quite a few layers to achieve the coverage I am after.

I'd really love to give Studio Fix Fluid a go, purely for the coverage factor. I have dry surface skin, so in terms of consistancy how much does it vary to Select SPF15+. I find Select glides onto my skin, so I have no problems there, so I am wondering if Studio Fix Fluid would easily blend into my skin etc.

Thanks!

hi i am currently trying out with select and studio fix fluid and i'm prefering the studio fix. It is a thicker heavier consistency (hence the better coverage) but i find it easier to work with and isn't so patchy. i have reasonably normal skin.

You can always ask for a tester of the studio fix and try it yourself at home for a bit before commiting to buying a whole bottle and finding you don't like it .

I cant tell you how much i hate select spf, its patchy, oily!!! and it takes ages to go into the skin and not look like your wearing tones, when i only ever used a tiny blob!
Ive only got studio fix powder, not the fulid but its on my list to buy next

what brush do you apply with? i used the 187 for select spf and i thought it helped more than the 190 to get it even!

I use both those foundations and find SFF has more coverage and Select SPF is a good foundation to use when your having a great skin day (if you mix in some luminiser you can look nice and glowy too)

I find with the select spf you can amp up the coverage with some studio fix powder without it feeling suffocating. its not as heavy as if you mixed the SFF and then finished with the studio fix power. LOL but then again i dont find either heavy, it just depends what your used to.. Im not really being any help am i LOL

Plus i kinda like that the select has spf15 in it too.. i find it is a better colour match too.. SFF is a tiny bit more yellow but still a great match..

I like the fact that Select glides on really easy -- is SFF just as good in that respect or a lot thicker? Or should I not notice much difference?

I only have the select but I love it. It is light coverage but I like that. It does get a lil oily so I buff on some loose mineral powder and it looks flawless! Mine dries well on my face so I think if I wanted heavier coverage I would just add more. I have tried the studio tech though and I hate it. Its soo heavy I feel like I have a mask on.plus the color match sucks. I have to put on nc43 and nc44 to get it to look right

I switch back and forth between both foundations, depending on the day. Some days, a girl just needs a ridiculous amount of foundation, ya know? I will say that I find SFF to be a bit darker that Select. I've been using Select in NW20, but NW15 in SFF. SFF is also a lot heavier - I can use it under my eyes as concealer if I'm in a hurry and it looks fine. I also think I end up using more of the SFF because the thicker consistency is harder for me to blend out and I don't want to look patchy. (I did run out of my last bottle of SFF much faster than I did my bottle of Select)

Sooo yeah. There's my two cents.
