Sephora's Beauty Insider

Beauty Insider is like a VIP membership card that entitles the card holder to special offers (deluxe samples, free gifts, personalized online profile, insider info. on products etc.) at any Sephora store or sephora.com.

Could I use my Name and my birthday? Or do I have to use my mother's because it's her credit card?

You can use your own info. It's not tied to CCs or payment info. It's strictly to keep track of you, your likes and your purchases.

It's basically a tracking system for Sephora.

The beauty insider samples after you have 100 points are decent, but you still only get 1 out of 3 choices. You'll get a birthday gift if you go in or order online 2 weeks before or after your birthday (it was a 6 or 8 oz Philosophy birthday cake 3-in-1 last year) and you can look to see things you've purchased or returned recently in the history.

You do get 'access' to special products, but now since it's open to everyone, it's really not so special anymore.

i just signed up for this online since they just opened a sephora at my mall.

will they send me a card in the mail or do i have to go to sephora and pick one up then call customer service and link my e-mail to it?

When I was in Sephora last year, the sales girl offered me the Beauty Insider program so I took it. I have one of the plastic cards attached to my key ring but I hardly ever use it. I had no idea you could use it online though, that's great! I get a lot of Beauty Insider emails.

There's no Credit Card anything attached to the Beauty Insider Card [thank god].

It basically just keeps you in their data base and you get special offers, discounts, samples, birthday stuff.

I don't carry mine with me; I hate having a wallet full of promotional-type cards or non-keys on my key ring. They just look it up with my e-mail when I go in.

You won't get a card mailed to you if you sign up online, but honestly, it's easier for us to just look you up, we've been having some difficulty with reissuing lost or replacement cards, they haven't registered the way they should.

Just FYI, if you haven't signed up, sign up by mid October...there's an awesome BI Holiday Gift! I don't even get one, and I dammit work there.

I don't really see the point of it. I have one and all I got when I reached 100 points was a tiny lipgloss the size of a tester. And a little thing of bodywash when it was my birthday

I agree, I think Ulta have better deals with the inside card.

Well, I figure I'm spending the money anyway and before the BI card I got nothing, so it is an improvement. That said, some of the things you get offered to pick from at the checkout are not so great.

that's pretty much how i'm seein' it. if you're going to spend the money anyway, you might as well get some free lipgloss along with it, even if it is just a dollup.
