SFF vs mineralized satinfinish

Okay, so here it is!

Lately I have been so frustrated with the way my skin looks. I HATE it!

I currently use SFF in NC30 and set it with studio fix powder in same shade. I feel that it is too matte, my skin is dry during this time of the year.

I want that dewy glowy foundation look. I just ordered mineralized satinfinish in NC30 along with mineralize loose foundation in Medium dark. Do you think this the right color for NC30.

What foundation would you recommend?

I think you made the right choice in going for the mineralize satin finish and msfn. If you want more of that dewy look definiately invest in some strobe creme,, a little goes a very long way!

I do have the strobe cream.. girl trust me, I've tried everything.. mixing SFF with strobe cream, prepping with strobe cream, mixing SFF with fix+, setting it with fix+.. Nothing has worked for what I want to achieve! so I have finally decided that I should just change.. I've been wearing SFF for like 5-6 years? haha maybe it's just time for a change.

How about trying the new Studio Sculpt foundation? I haven't tried it myself but I have heard nothing but raves about it. It leaves a somewhat dewy look and coverage is good as well.

For reference:

This is when I put time into it, with highlighting, contouring, all that shmaz.

That's a great idea! I just wonder what coloring I would be, since from the reviews.. I've heard that that it doesn't exactly match NC30 in SFF shades. I wish I had time to go to mac store. I go to school at night and work full time

^^ damnnnnn girl your hot!!!

Hmm.. since you tried soo many things i dont think mineralize satin finish would give you the results you want... I havent tried it but if you can go to the pro store and try mac's hyper real foundation i hear its even better than mineralize satin finish. I know MUFE is popular with their foundations but i think all of their products are matte :\

damn it. I heard about hyper real too, kim K. or whatever uses it. Maybe I can mix SFF and satinfinish for some coverage/dewyiness (if that is even a word!)

I want to find my freakin' HG foundation haha.. after like 5 years lol TY ladies for your suggestions. ANY MAC MUA artists that can suggest what someone in SFF that's NC30 is other liquid foundation formulas? TIA

Use a heavy moisturizer and don't let it completely absorb and apply your SFF with extra luminizer and mix in a powder highlighter with your setting powder. I use a matte foundation and get a dewy look by doing this.
