I REALLY need some help picking out a shampoo and conditioner. My hair is pretty damaged from straightening, coloring it, etc. so it gets kinda gross. I was just wondering if anybody has any reccomendations for a shampoo and conditioner that makes hair soft and silky and helps the color to not fade as much. If anyone has any suggestions that'd be awesome! THANKS

I really like the Wella System Professional products. L'Oreal Professionel Vitamino Color shampoo is also really gentle and good.

Try ENJOY their shampoos are sulfate free which means that they wont strip your color, also they are made with human hair proteins, which means thats what filling the little "holes in your hais" caused by coloring and styling. I would go with the hydrating shampoo and conditioner, and get some instant reconstructor to use once a week as a deep conditoioning treatment.

TERAX.. Collagene shampoo and Crema conditioner. I also use their gloss to smooth my hair in between salon visits to hide any damage. I get my Terax at Sephora or Beautyhabit.com

I'm gonna second MissChevious's recommendation of the Wella system- a true pro product that's reasonably priced and has very reliable quality.

In other words: it's damn good stuff.

I've started to use strictly Lush shampoos, and I stopped using a brush, and don't use a hair drier. I "finger comb" my hair every other day, and I comb it the alternate days. My hair has really comb back.

Neutrogena has a cheap deep conditioner that I use once a week. I suggest getting some sort of deep conditioner to help restore your hair and prevent future damage.

Deva care no poo shampoo and one condition conditin are a system of products predominantly for ladies with curly hair that promote healthy, unfrizzy, smooth and managable locks by using a complex system that doesn't rely on the use of foam enhancers or any of them other crap like sulfites we usually find in our shampoo products that weigh down, dry out, and don't treat damaged hair. The system locks in moisture in the hair with relativly fast results. i use it myself since i have fried, dyed, and just beat up my hair and my hair is definitely less damaged. They even have a hair coloring line.
Also the paul brown line is great and smells good. It's hawaiian and it literally makes your hair feel like silk, with it ingredient list being predomminatly natural products such as jojoba oil, avocado oil etc.

Look for a shampoo that is not clarifying because that is too strong for weak hair, it should have conditions properties but not be labeled a "conditioner and shappo in one these products are crap". Try moisturing shampoos that promise to help restore hair's natural ph.
As far as conditioners go make sure you get one that has penetrating qualities that way you are ensuring that conditioner is oing straight to the source of the problem and treating your scalp and the cortex of your hair.

I would also recommend get a weekly proiein/moisture deep consitioning or replenshing pack from your local salon, they are ten bucks typically and with a solid routine withh do wonders on your hair. a scalp massage with cholestrol once a week with a good brushing is also a good idea.

I use John Frieda Sheer Blond Shampoo and Redken All Soft Conditioner. I blow dried my hair and immediately straightened it additionally, for two years with out any product to protect my hair from the heat. These two products have brought my hair back from that! John Frieda Sheer Blond Conditioner is definitely a good product, and absolutely worth the money, but I've found Redken All Soft Conditioner is a bit better, though for the price I think the John Frieda Conditioner is a better value.. I'm willing to pay more for the Redken to be a bit better though!
