i left the tv on the other night and a shopping programme came on selling mineral make-up. The sheer cover looked and sounded great so i was just wondering if anyones tried it and is it as good as they say? I searched but couldnt find any threads on it. It sounds perfect for me as i have reddish uneven skin and do get some spots so the good coverage is what i need and id love to be able to use mineral foundation instead of liquid. The mineral foundations coverage has never been thick enough for me before. I just wanted opinions before i bought it as it is quite expensive. Thankssss x

Mmm...IMHO, it's nothing to write home about. My mom just bought this and I'll use it on lazy days. The foundation is just 'ok.' I've def tried way better from cheaper lines such as Everyday Minerals. Plus, Sheer Cover has a limited color selection I believe than other mineral makeup companies. If your skin is really neutral or bordering on the pinkish undertone side, they'll prob match okay. However for my strong yellow undertones, I appeared a bit gray.
I did really like the concealer, though.

My advice would be to most definitely try mineral makeup, but save some $$ and go with a good company. Seriously, my EM was way better than this. hth!

we recieved a small order of sheer cover at shoppers last summer (about 10 or so). we sold thru them all, but i'd say about 50% got returned. the most common complaint was that the coverage was shitty. i also had a lady the other day looking for a new mineral makeup. she told me she was currently using one that she'd seen on an infomercial & it did NOTHING that it promised to do. (i asked, & it was indeed sheer cover.) HTH!

sheercover is quite costly and when i used it, it seemed to highlight more of the flaws on my face than cover. also, it felt a little itchy and stung a bit upon application with the horrendously cheap brush they give you. the only product that was actually decent in the entire package was the bronzer. waste of money, you're better off trying something better like Everyday Minerals or Alima.

i had already bid on some sheer cover mineral foundation on ebay when i posted this and after i read all your reviews i went back to find i'd won it, so i paid for it and thought id give it a go because i could always list it back on ebay again if i didn't like it but i love it! I never thought a powder could give you that much coverage? and without looking thick aswell. I have lots of flaws on my face and red patches and uneven skin tone and it covers all that up just with the powder alone. I do agree with the range of shades being poor though, it is hard to find your exact skin tone even when you mix them. But i eventually found mine and i do love this! its great when you're in a rush you can just brush it on insted of having to faff around with the liquid foundation!

I love these kind of late night commercials when you're having an insomniac moment ... I get that "where has this [insert product] been all of my life". For what it's worth, I personally avoided this Sheercover line because I've never heard much good about it... too bad, b/c Bare Minerals makes my skin itch like crazy.
