"sheering" out...

I've seen this mentioned several times here:

Sheering out the glitter liners over shadow...

Sheering out fluidlines on the brow bone...

I know what sheer means, but can someone explain how you sheer out the liquid?

I tried putting glitter liner over e/s on my hand, it didn't go so well, so I'm obviously doing something very wrong.

But I'm intrigued, so now I must know!! Can anyone help, or point me to a tutorial, walkthrough, or map?

Half the time it's just an incorrect use of the term 'sheer'

You can layer glitter liners over shadow, the trick is to not wipe or drag like you would normally apply a line. I wipe a little glitter liner/glitter mix onto the pad of my fingertip and press or pat it over the eyeshadow.

As for things like Fluidline on the browbone (I really hope people are talking about Frostlite and not Shade or something), similar deal. Pop a little Fluidline on the pad of your fingertip and blend it over your skin until it's as smooth and as sheer as you need.
