I used to use studio fix fluid by mac, and every hour or two blot my face with any sort of blotting paper i got mines for $2 at wal greens. I then used precription creme that evened out the oiliness on my face, it used to look like a swimming pool of oil -_-
Thats about it, then i became an adult and my hormones levled out and my oilyness went away.
i use macs oil control lotion then apply a lil bit of Macs matte gel (its a small clear tube) then foundation and set it with powder
during the day i use Macs Blot Powder to stay shine free
Wear a foundation with a matte finish (like MUFE's MAT VELVET + or Estée Lauder's Double Wear/Double Wear Light), always set your foundation with powder and bring Blot Paper or a Pressed Blot Powder compact to touch up during the day. If you are really oily like me, there's no way you'll stay matte 24/7.
Cosmedicine's Medi-Matte is pretty nice. I don't have oily skin but I got it as a sample and it was ok. My friend has oily skin and swears by this stuff to keep her shine-free, but it felt too thick for my skin.
I LOVE Smashbox Photofinish Light. I don't get shiny all day and it primes my foundation too.
don't forget to set with loose powder (or pressed if you get really oily), that makes a HUGE difference in my opinion.
I agree with the primer business. I've been using smashbox photofinish as well and I love it!! Using a semi-matte or matte foundation helps and setting your foundation with a powder will also help a lot too. Try to stay away from shimmery things like MSFs or BB Shimmerbricks - they just increase the shiny wet look and you can get some lovely satin blushes which are just as pretty without adding high shine to a susceptible face
