Should I Get an Instore Makeup Application

My birthday is coming and my local MAC store is doing the have the $55 Makeup application, get $55 in product thing until this weekend. (do they do this often? I'm new to the world of MAC so I don't know). So I guess I want to know if it's worth it. Please share your experiences and opinions. This promo ends this weekend so I have to book tonight or tomorrow morning to get a spot.

Oh and um hi - I'm new

And I'm in Canada if that makes a difference regarding the frequencies of that promotion etc.

If it were me I would - I'm fairly new to all this too and need all the help I can get. Most of the time you get someone who is super helpful and will steer you in the right direction.

They usually makeovers like that. I don't know if I'd do that, because I don't wear enough of any brand to justify that.

Because I've had difficulties in being matched in general and nasty reactions with MAC foundation, if you go for this, I would wait to purchase the foundation to see if your skin likes it and it actually matches.

However, you can definitely get some lipstick, eyeshadow, and a brush or two (though I think art store brushes are the best and cheapest option), and meet the amount they set

Yeah - I have the appointment on Saturday. I figure I'll end up mostly with eye makeup and lipstick from it. I already love my mineral makeup foundation, my skin is the best it's ever been so I'm not looking for a new one. But I can never have enough eye shadow
