Should I get the 182 brush?

[SIZE=Default]OK, so the kabuki brush I have now is not that good. It's scratchy and not at all soft. I tried the 182 from MAC at the store once, and it was so soft and lovely. However, I haven't bought it yet because it is so expensive.
Now, I have a friend who is working in the US for some time. Because of the currency rate, I'd get the 182 for a lot less money if she bought it for 45 dollars, than if I buy it for 475 Swedish Kronor (45 USD converts to about 290 SEK). Still though, I feel that 45 dollars is a LOT of money. Is the 182 brush worth it?

Edit: I have read some threads on the 182, but I still can't decide what to do!

I love the 182, it is totally worth it in my opinion. It is soft, and blends powders in seamlessly. Especially mineral makeup. If you take good care of it, it will last for years.

It's a fantastic brush, it's great for powders and buffing in foundation, I use it EVERY time I apply my makeup.

BUY IT BUY IT! I've tried dozens of kabukis and none is as soft, dense, and luxurious as the 182 - it is quite pricey, but it lasts for so many years and it stays so soft and never scratchy!

Think of it this way - it may seem like a lot to invest in a brush now, but why waste the same or even money on several scratchy kabukis that you end up tossing when you can spend that quality money on a really good brush that will last you years?

Thanks everyone! I am sort of on the fence now between the 182 and Aubrey Nicole Minerals kabuki, which someone told me is also really soft and nice... Hm. I shall have to think some more.

Yes. It is expensive. But once you get it, you won't look back!! It's the best brush MAC makes as far as I'm concerned. I use mine everyday, and it will last for ages. It really isn't that much money if you use it that much.

I just bought one today. Why didn't I buy it sooner?? Seriously, I'm all about good cheap brushes (I have lots of $2-$5 brushes from avon that are my staples), but this is the one brush I've tried that I'd say it totally worth the priciness. Consider it an investment. All the money you spent trying out other brands to find something cheaper could've gone into the price of a 182 instead. That's why I decided to go ahead and get it anyway. I definitely don't think I'll regret the splurge.
