About a month and a half ago I went on a cruise with some of my family and family friends. One of my aunt's friends had a grandson and I took a liking towards him (he's 16, I'm 14.) Things didn't really heat up for us two until the last day, and the day after where we were stuck in Miami because of bad weather. To make a long story short we got closer and exchanged numbers. For the next few weeks we called eachother and fully admitted that we were interested in eacother. Then our families went to DisneyWorld together, and the courtship ensued. After the DisneyWorld trip he never called me and I haven't heard from him since (he lost his cell phone while in DW but I still don't think that's a good enough excuse.) We got back July 19th.
Just earlier my aunt walked in and said they were giving him a dinner as a senior year in high school gift and that we were invited. I still have feelings for him, but I'm scared things might be awkward during this dinner. He really hurt me after he didn't call me.
So my question to my fellpw specktra members is... Was I foolish to believe he was acually interested in me? Are my feelings just a bunch of teen angst?
Should I go to his dinner?
